The recently proposed merger of the the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has now been postponed as a result of global economic conditions and a disappointing set of accounts reported by ANZIIF. The name change was known to be unpopular with the UK membership, making it likely to be amended.
