A Welcome from new CII

Welcome to your local Institute. I have a short year as President
and hope to meet as many of you as possible on my travels.
For 2007/8 we have got the show on
the road as far as our programme is concerned.
The feeling around the membership
and council is that we should aim for fewer lunchtime meets but go for a
"keynote" speaker at each event. If we can whet your appetite with
what's on offer then the free lunch will hopefully act as a sweetener...
The November and December lectures and forthcoming social events will be announced online so check the regional institute website www.cii-southampton.co.uk for the latest updates and look out for the October newsletter in your inbox!
Communication is a key skill in business so members and non-members at every level of our industry are invited to hear Peter Mueller, a well regarded business skills consultant and well known public speaker, discuss The Art of Communication in Business.
Peter runs the Salix Orion consultancy and lectures on public speaking and communication skills worldwide.

Lecture Programme November / December 2007 Having heard feedback
that you would to see more topical events and a venue nearer Portsmouth
used on occasion, we'll be announcing details of lectures addressing the
boom in online insurance aggregators and the industry's response to the
