CPD Event Final Reminder - Weds 11 November at 12 Midday at The Rose Bowl - Tim Wilson Close Premium Finance: "The Financial Crisis - What It Is, How It Affects Brokers And How Premium Finance Can Help" A final reminder to anyone wanting to come along to next Wednesday’s educational meeting - we are delighted to have Tim Wilson, MD of Close Premium Finance speaking on Premium Finance. Given the recent (or ongoing) credit crunch, this will be a fascinating insight into how this market works and will be of interest to all sectors of the insurance community. There are a few places left so please confirm your attendance, and if appropriate, spread the word within your office. Remember, these meetings are open to all within the industry, you don’t have to be a member of the CII to attend. Return of the Quiz Night 7pm Wednesday 25 November at St Mary's Stadium Southampton To start our programme of social events this season the ever popular Quiz Night will take place at the Dell Cafe Bar, St Mary's Stadium on Wednesday 25 November. At £10 per head to include food this event is bound to fill up quickly so please email Alyson Codona with confirmation of teams (of up to 8 people) to alyson.codona@stride.co.uk . Programme Events in 2010
Our first meeting in the new year will take place on Wednesday 6 January 2010 at the Rose Bowl. The speaker will be Jonathan Clark, the well respected loss adjuster and senior member of the CII. We are awaiting confirmation of Jonathan’s topic for the day and will update the membership through this site and our newsletters as soon as details are available.. Last time he spoke to us on Fraud, it was a fascinating insight and we are eagerly awaiting his next visit. Also lined up for the spring are Tony Cornell, with his annual ‘State of the Nation’ address on the health of the insurance industry, and Tony Gimple, MD of Crisis Survivor, who will be talking about Business Continuity. Watch out for further details and dates of these meetings soon as well as a vodcast (online video) of our recent Office Representatives social and further details of future social events.
