Welcome to the September edition of the Insurance Institute of Southampton email newsletter and the first of our new season of events. Read on for details of the return of the hotly contested Quiz Night, a special event for Office Reps to get involved in their local institute and money raised towards to our industry charity.
To start our programme of social events this season the ever popular Quiz Night will take place at the Dell Cafe Bar, St Mary's Stadium on Thursday 18 September. Click here for a map.
At £8 per head to include food this event is bound to fill up quickly so please email Neil Sinclair with confirmation of teams (of up to 6 people) to SINCLAN@Norwich-Union.co.uk.
Start time is 7.15pm with a Lasagne meal plus a vegetarian option (please indicate veggie meals required when confirming numbers). There will be a raffle to benefit the The Insurance Charities.

Linda White, your local CII President, would like to invite all CII Office Representatives and anyone interested in finding out more about becoming an office rep, to an informal early evening gathering at The Solent Hotel, Whiteley on Thursday 2nd October from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. We have a dynamic enthusiastic committee keen to arrange events for you and your company. This will be an ideal opportunity to explain to you our roles within the committee and our upcoming programme of events both social and educational. Remember this is you local institute therefore we need your valued input to tell us the events and activities you and your colleagues would support...so ask around and come armed with ideas...the next event could be your idea. Complimentary food and drink will be provided, if shy bring a workmate who can support your role as office rep and generate additional attendees at future events. 2008 Charities Day
Raises Over £1,000 - Many thanks to all who contributed their time and
money
Donations received from a number of organisations who participated in
Insurance Charities Day total £1,010.57. Thanks to Cunningham
Lindsey, Stride, BDML and Sabre Insurance for their contributions raised
by a variety of dress down days, cake sales, raffles and a barbeque. A
further donation is coming from BDML as the result of an auction. If any
other organisation has held an event can they please send the money
raised in a cheque payable to
